Should I stay with my child?

Accepted Answer

You're welcome to leave your child with our DBS checked team and collect them at 2pm, if you fancy a wander down to the Quayside Market or a nip home for a cuppa. Alternatively, we have a space for Parents to wait in our cafe area throughout the event.

Question 2

Can my child come even if we don't normally go to Church?

Accepted Answer

We are a friendly bunch, all are welcome whether a regular member of our Church or not. This event is a post-service event, so do join us for our service which is from 10.30am.

Question 3

Does your Church have Car Parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we normally have someone giving out on-street permits so you do not need to pay. These last for 4 hours max and should be handed back after the service to one of our team. Alternatively, we have a private car park with a few spaces if you would like to use one of them (subject to availability)

What if my child has an allergy?

Accepted Answer

It is imperative we are made aware of any allergies in advance, so we can make suitable dietary requirements. Children with allergies are asked to bring with them relevant medication.

Question 5

Should my child still have lunch before or after the event?

Accepted Answer

We aim to cater for the Youth to have one burger (bun) and one hot dog each. We will also have a few other snacks e.g. smores (marshmallows in biscuits over the fire), and bananas in foil (over the fire) to add to the firepit experience.

Question 6

What is Church like?

Accepted Answer

Our coffee bar is open from 10am. The service begins at 10.30am where we have a time of worship (music with lyrics on the screen), then a preach/message designed to teach, motivate and encourage congregation. We aim for the service to be welcoming for new people. There is Kids Church for 2-10s.

Question 7

Will safety measures be in place?

Accepted Answer

The event will be fully risk-assessed to ensure the event offers a safe environment for all including easy access to ample water beside the fire, first aid trained team, youth being supervised at all times and clear communication of strict rules when around the fire pit.
