We are excited to offer behind the scenes guided tours of Elvaston Castle. Please note that the castle will not be open to the general public on this date - these are private tours and for ticket holders only.

🏰Book your tickets in advance using Eventbrite - limited tickets.
This tour includes lots of stairs (up and down) without hand rails. If you have mobilty issues or loss of sight please ask us about our other tours which may be more enjoyable.

No dogs inside the castle, please.

How can I book tickets for the guided tour?

Please book your tickets via Eventbrite in advance. Tickets are limited for each tour due to health and safety restrictions.

How much do the guided tours cost?

£10 adults and £2.50 children (all children must be accompanied by a paying adult.)

Can I book a guided tour on the day?

Due to limited places and popular demand, we are encouraging people to book their tickets in advance via Eventbrite.

Guided tours last on average 60 minutes

Is the tour suitable for everyone?

Please note that there are lots of stairs involved (up and down) in the guided tour. This tour is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Can I see inside the castle without booking a guided tour?

No, not on Friday 21st March. Please note that the next open house event is on Saturday 22nd March.

I visit Elvaston with my dog. Can I bring them inside the castle?

Sorry, dogs are not allowed inside the castle.

Where should I park on the day?

Please use the public carpark. Please note that this ticket does not include DCC parking charges (https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/leisure/countryside/countryside-sites/car-parks/car-parks-at-countryside-sites.aspx).

Where should I meet my tour guide?

A member of staff will be waiting outside the Gothic Hall 10 minutes before your tour start time.
