Women’s health has long been overlooked in medical research, and psychedelics are no exception. This workshop explores the critical need to consider female-specific biological factors—such as hormonal fluctuations and unique stress responses—when studying the effects of psychedelics. We will explore how female biology influences the effects of psychedelics on women’s bodies. This research helps us better understand the potential of psychedelics for treating conditions such as Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, menopause symptoms, and postpartum challenges.

This workshop, delivered in collaboration with Hystelica - the leading group advocating for gender-inclusive psychedelic research, will explore how hormones and menstrual cycles influence study outcomes. It will also examine why a one-size-fits-all approach falls short and how psychedelics could transform women's healthcare.

Workshop Highlights

  • Learn about how psychedelics work specifically in female bodies
  • Address the shortfall of research into gender and psychedelics
  • Discover the potentials of psychedelics for treating women’s healthcare issues
