The Farne Islands Puffin Photography Tour offers a 7-day / 6-night photo tour to witness the incredible wildlife, especially the charismatic puffins.
UK Photo Tours' Farne Islands Puffin Photography Tour provides a unique opportunity to experience and photograph the diverse wildlife on the islands, especially the puffins, in a small-group setting with professional guidance and support.
The tour includes a professional photo guide, transportation from London if required, lovely cottage accommodation with own room (some en-suites), boat trips to the islands, and Kase filter kits to borrow.
- The Farne Islands are home to over 20 bird species, including puffins, terns, guillemots, razorbills, shags, kittiwakes, eider ducks, and grey seals.
- Visitors can currently land on Inner Farne, after the island has been closed since the start of Covid-19.
- We'll be looking to photograph stunning landscape locations such as Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle.

Suggested equipment:
- Telephoto lens - e.g. 300mm+, 100-400mm, 200-400mm
- Walk around wide/mid-range/kit lens – e.g. 18-55mm, 24-70mm, 24-105mm
- Wide angle lens e.g. 16-35mm, 17-40mm (optional for landscape subjects in the distance)
- Don't have a telephoto lens? We'll have 3 telephoto setups available (please let me know at the time of booking). We also have 2 x branded 1.4x (Canon & Nikon DSLR) and 2.0x (Nikon DSLR) are available.
- Tripod (for landscapes)
- Monopod if required for your telephoto lens
- Filters (for landscapes). We have KASE filter kits are available to borrow (please mention it when booking).
- Laptop for post-processing sessions

- Return transport from central London (if required), plus transport in Northumberland to/from boats & castles.
- Accommodation: An entire beautiful house in Bamburgh! (self-catering, restaurants, pubs, & shops close by)
- Boat fees for 6 boat trips to the islands.
- Photographic tuition on location

Please note:
- The tour may not be suitable for those with limited mobility due to steps and uneven ground.
- The boat captain's decision to delay if adverse weather conditions are beyond our control (which is why we go for 6 full days + travel, just in case).
Price:
- Own room, £1,495 per person
A £50 deposit is required via Eventbrite, and a 50% balance of the total price is to be paid within seven days via bank transfer to secure your spot. Final balance due 60 days before departure.
