About this event

Hang out with fellow adults who identify under the queer and trans (LGBTQIA+) umbrella, enjoy yummy snacks and a chilled craft session!

You can work on this month's project or bring your own. We'll explore a variety of arts and crafts such as sewing, soft toy making, crochet, knitting, ceramics, drawing, photography, embroidery, zine-making and much more! You'll be able to help us decide what to try next.

So if you want to get crafty, this is the place for you, whether you're a first time dabbler or an experienced maker.

About the sessions

Sessions will be led by our lovely host Teddy Bear Josh (They/He) or by a visiting artist. You can join in or bring your own portable project to work on.

What we're making

March 19th - Zine making class

Learn to put together and create your own personalised folded zine. Use your imagination or word prompts provided to tell a story through drawings, cut outs or text.

April 16th - Cardboard puppet making

Create your own moving rabbit puppet just in time for Easter. Using cardboard artist Samuel J Wilde's puppet pattern learn how to make the humble cardboard box into an interactive animal companion.

May 14th - Bead Embellishment

Look through our bead and jewellery gatherings and create a stunning, vintage looking piece of 3d embroidery. Come up with your own inspiration or use one of the templates provided.

June 18th - Punk's not dead

This month we will be learning about punk history and creating custom badges and denim art. Upcycle any denim clothing you own into your very own battle jacket through painting, sewing and felties. Denim fabric will also be provided to annotate on.

We'll supply

  • All materials and tuition
  • Hot/cold drinks and tasty snacks
  • Pronoun badges
