About this event

Farmers, land managers and consumers of natural resources (forestry, water etc.) know that direct action is needed now to tackle the impacts of climate change, not only plans to mitigate in 5-10 years’ time. Research organisations and businesses on the Norwich Research Park are leading with real-world solutions, and we invite forward-thinking adopters to help us get our science into the hands of those who can effect the change we need in East Anglia, nationally and globally.

This seminar and network session offers practical examples of how modern technologies and methods are being applied in partnership to help businesses, industry organisations, NGOs, and government agencies to respond and adapt to present and future challenges.

Five short talks from organisations across the Norwich Research Park will be followed by lunch and networking, and you can also book a private 1-2-1 meeting with speakers and business managers to help explore your specific needs.

At the Norwich Research Park our research and business community are helping famers, resource managers, industry, and policy makers by:

· providing critical information to help make better decisions at a local and national level

· returning soils and our environment to healthy, resilient, and productive systems

· innovating to speed up the transition to new nutritionally healthy, disease resistant crops,

· replacing polluting industrial processes with new biotechnology, and

· reducing consumption of unsustainable resources.

Contributions by the Earlham Institute, John Innes Centre, The Sainsbury Laboratory, Quadram Institute Biosciences and University of East Anglia. Representatives from our business community will also be on hand.

Staying for Lunch

This event is free, but we ask for a £5 contribution by those who wish to stay for a buffet lunch. If you would like to stay for the lunch, please select the lunch ticket when registering.

The event is sponsored by Anglia Innovation Partnership LLP, the science park management entity, and supported by members of the Norwich Research Park community.
