We are living in a time of unravelling, ecologically, culturally and socially. Amidst this, there is a growing realisation that it is a disconnect from the natural world, from place, from one another and from the essence of our humanity that has led to the meta crisis that we face today.
Within these times many of us sense a rising tide of deep knowing that humanity needs to reconnect.
Reconnect is a gathering for those who see what is happening in our times whilst recognising that each of us has a part to play in being the change that needs to happen.
The theme of the ‘Reconnect Festival’ 2025 is: -
‘METAMORPHORY’ - Emerging into new ways of being through storytelling, stimulating talks and embodied workshops.
Saturday 17th - Sunday 18th May 2025
In the grounds of Lee House (St William of York Chapel) Thornley, Nr Longridge, Ribble Valley PR3 2TB
Reconnect will offer time and space to those who sense that we must search our deeper selves individually and collectively to imagine new ways of being that understand that the natural world is the fulcrum for all aspects of our thriving…..at work, at play, in our homes, our family lives, our communities….in all we do!
Reconnect aims to be a place of convergence; a meeting of minds from all walks of life, in a space where our connectedness to nature and to one another can be replenished, flourish and grow, giving rise to the emergence of fresh insights.
The Reconnect Festival will celebrate interconnection, nourish inner growth, foster well being and maybe make us think, feel, do and act in new ways, through dialogue, storytelling, activities, walks and discussion that honours our relationships with nature and one another, exploring the spirit of place whilst drawing on our ancestral culture, and learning from the distinctive ecology and landscape of our bioregion here in the Northwest of England.
The two day ‘festival’ will be a place to pause, to ponder, to reconnect with what matters today…..whether that be in our personal lives or in our work situations.
"It has always been a radical act to tell stories during dark times. They are the regenerative spaces of creation and renewal. As we experience a loss of connection to the Earth, we tell stories that explore the timeless connections between ecology, culture and spirituality" Emergence Magazine.
