A screening of two moving-image works by onsite studio artists Ree Bradley and Pete Gomes, shown as part of their current exhibition In House.

Ree Bradley’s The Mind is a Group Muscle is an ongoing project examining the relationship between socialised masculinity and mental health through alternative, body-based therapies. In this first iteration, a group including the artist, engaged with Rebirthing Breathwork, Picture Tapping Technique and Dance Movement Psychotherapy. These sessions opened up access to unconscious and childlike states held within the body and breath.

Pete Gomes’ KnowingUnknowing is a collaborative, improvised triptych for dance, amplified guitar and camera. Featuring dancer Helen Kindred, guitarist Benjamin Dwyer and Gomes on improvisational camera, the work explores liminal states between body and space, the conscious and unconscious, movement and stillness, sound and silence, sight and gesture.
