Malaguzzi, the founding father of the beautiful Reggio Emilia approach, tells us that children have “a hundred ways of thinking, expressing themselves”. The Reggio-inspired environment is thoughtfully designed to empower children as co-constructors of their learning. Through open-ended exploration, collaboration discovery, and connection to nature and community, each child is given the freedom to follow their interests, ask meaningful questions and develop a deep love for learning.
Join us for an inspiring, interactive practical workshop designed to ignite the potential in every child through the power of Reggio-inspired learning. Discover how to create environments from babies to 12 years of age in a daycare environment that will nurture curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. This workshop will offer practical strategies and show examples to make you reflect and rethink your learning spaces and teaching practices. Whether you're new to the Reggio approach or looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop will empower you to transform the way children experience learning.
The objectives of the workshop are to:
- Understand the core principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, including the image of the child, the role of the adult, the environment as the third educator and the hundred languages of children.
- Design or adapt learning environments that are intentional, responsive, and rich in possibilities for exploration and discovery.
- Documentation practices to make children’s thinking and learning visible, and to use these to inform curriculum planning.
- Develop a deeper understanding of how to create inclusive, respectful spaces where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
