- Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes
This five hour interactive course comprises a mixture of content delivery and self-directed learning/case discussion in breakout groups. The focus throughout is on the key medico-legal requirements and frameworks associated with good record keeping. Topics will include:
- GMC guidance in relation to record keeping, along with the importance of documenting key aspects of the consent process and documentation associated with use of chaperones.
- How to ensure medical records comply with data protection legislation and requirements.
- The common pitfalls associated new technology/ways of working and the impact on records will also be explored.
Specifically arising from the outcomes of the Paterson Inquiry we will look at how written communication with patients can be effected which outlines their condition and treatment, in simple language.

This course has been accredited by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK for 5 CPD credits.

MDDUS absorb the Eventbrite booking fee for this course (which is between £8 - £12)
Refunds can be requested in advance; however, Eventbrite will deduct the booking fee from any refund requested.
MDDUS is not liable for any costs incurred by delegates in relation to attendance at remote training courses. This includes if the course is cancelled or needs to be rescheduled.
