About this event

Spring Explorers is our 3 hour programme, suitable for P3-7 aged children.

Our 3 hour sessions are a great opportunity to introduce your children to the wonderful world of wildlife at Edinburgh Zoo. This active programme includes visiting our amazing animals, playing themed games and taking part in a range of exciting activities whilst exploring our amazing site in the heart of Corstorphine.

Please note that if we do not meet our required numbers for bookings, some sessions may be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, anyone who has booked would be contacted and given a full refund.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book more that 1 session

You are welcome to book more that 1 session, however as these are introduction sessions there may be repeated content across the day.

What should my child wear?

These sessions are outdoor based, therefore we would recommend wearing suitable outdoor clothing - most importantly trainers or boots and a raincoat.

My child is flexi or home schooled is this only for children in full time education?

Our programmes are as inclusive as possible, and the age ranges are a guide to ensure that children are with similarly aged peers. Please email if you have any questions.

Is this curriculum based?

These sessions are designed to engage young people with nature and understand the importance of the natural world. The activities are designed to encourage this connection but are not lessons.

Are the ages compulsory?

The content of the sessions has been designed to suit this age group and supervision ratios required for certain activities. Tickets for children not within our specified age ranges will be refunded.
