Organisations who have safeguarding responsibilities may be caused to undertake Section 42 enquiries by Derby Safeguarding Adults board within their own organisations.
Key Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate how the adult is at the heart of everything we do, while carrying out a s.42 Enquiry by understanding Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP).
Consider what a s.42 Enquiry is and the reason for starting one.
Explain what might happen during and as a result of a s.42 Enquiry.
Describe the process for recording information in an Adult Safeguarding Enquiry.
Clarify the role and responsibilities of multi-agency partners in making s.42 Enquiries, and the possible consequences.
Consider a strengths-based approach
IMPORTANT: As of 1st February 2025, attendees will no longer be provided an individual certificate of completion. Resources will be circulated following the training with an email confirming attendance.
Please note that webinars and briefings delivered by Derby Safeguarding Adults Board are only available for individuals who work and provide services within
Derby city and Derbyshire boundaries.
Delegates who do not work within these boundaries will be removed from the attendee list and will not receive any information in relation to the webinar.
