About this event

Our Saturday longer rides take place on three Saturdays each month and will be on a mix of on-road sections and traffic-free riding.

Meet up is at the carpark at Kirklees Active Leisure, Leeds Rd Sports Complex, Leeds Rd, Huddersfield HD2 1YY. There is free parking in the car park.

We will be riding approximately 12-14 miles as a round trip.

You need to be confident cycling on roads in traffic, but these sections will be managed by the ride leaders. The route is mainly on towpath and has some short uphill sections, so you will need to be able to use your gears effectively.

Rides are led by two qualified ride leaders, Kate and Jane, who will manage the traffic as we ride on-road. Bring a bike lock and money for a cafe stop.

If you wish to borrow a bike and helmet for the ride, please email us at cvct.info@gmail.com to let us know beforehand.

Colne Valley Cycle Therapy CIC runs adult cycle training and guided rides through the Colne Valley Walk Wheel Ride Hub. Kindly funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
