Your ticket secures your seat at the table — food and drink are ordered and paid for separately on the night. Think of it like booking your spot at a really great dinner party — what you eat (and how much) is completely up to you.
Everyone over 30ish is welcome: singles, couples, marrieds and friends. Focus on the shared dining experience and the unpredictable magic when up to twelve strangers join at one of our select Saturday lunchtime venues. These give everyone the chance to what's explore outside city and town conurbations, meaning most often, you need your own transport. Occasionally public transport might be an option, but on the whole our lunch events allow us to take you off the beaten track to discover hidden gems you may not know about yet.
You'll engage in lively discussions, connect with fascinating people, and enjoy delicious food without any bill-splitting hassle—you simply pay the venue for what you order.

In other words, if you request a refund within 72 hours of the event date, because you can't attend, of your ticket fee, Eventbrite keeps 6.95% + 59p, per person, meaning your refund will be less than the full ticket price paid.

Notes for lucnhtime events
- Please arrive by 12 noon for a 12.30 start, unless any other information we send you by email or text advises otherwise.
- Specific dietary requirements should be communicated with the venue in advance
- Phones are discouraged during dinner to encourage genuine connection
- Parking information will be provided with venue details - but this is usually less of a challenge in our countryside locations.

We're a social dining experience that brings together people who love good food and great conversation. It's a way to meet new people, expand your social circle, and enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere – all without the hassle of trying to organise it yourself.
No, this is not a dating event. While we will occasionally host specific singles mixers, our regular events are focused on friendship and social connections. Whether you're single, married, or in a relationship, you're welcome to join us for good food and conversation.
From experience, our guests are articulate, reasonably well-educated, affluent enough but not 'monied', well-travelled, interesting, charming, and overall delightful company. Hand on heart, so far, everyone has been absolutely wonderful.
Age really is just a number! Our guests range from around mid-30s to 70ish and the best conversations take place when people from across different generations can add to them. Genuinely, everyone is welcome. Age is no barrier. If you're 99 and would like to come, we'd love to share with you.
We know you don't want to be the first to arrive, but we like everyone to get there around 15 minutes before the booked time. So, a booked time of 12.30 means we'd love you there by 12.15 latest. No shows, or if you're running late, means we're all waiting for you - just let the venue know please.
We need a minimum of 6 people for an event to be viable. As more venues are asking for per person deposits in their cancellation terms, it's important that if you book a seat, that you can honour the booking please. Usually we'll have about 8 to 12 guests of all ages.
Your seat booking secures your place at the table and includes our professional organisation and coordination. Food and drinks are not included – each guest orders and pays for their own meal and beverages. Seat prices might vary depending upon individual venue policies at the time.
Refunds are possible if you cancel up to 72 hours before the event, but Eventbrite retains 6.95%+59p of the booking fee. You can also swap to another date that's more suitable for you, by negotiation. Reach out and we'll try to arrange something that works
