Sea Monsters: Coastal Wines

Beautiful and imposing, the awesome power of the sea shapes our world far beyond geography and geology. The calm of the ocean can change our emotional weather, its myths and stories are buried deep in our collective psyche and, in the case of wine, it can have a transformational effect on what ends up in our glass. Consider the delectable saline edge of wines from coastal vineyards misted with marine spray - these briny and invigorating wines sing to us like Sirens.

Tonight, we’ll taste all the mineral delights that rise from Poseidon’s realm, benevolent as Triton, from briney Assyrtiko to zestful Albarino, bold Mediterranean reds and charming rose. Summer is on its way and we simply must refresh ourselves with wines as clean and brilliant as pebbles shining under the waves.

Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
