How can I get there?

Accepted Answer

From Manchester Piccadilly, take a Northern train (to Windermere) or Transpennine Express (to Glasgow Central), get off at Preston station, then take the 19A bus to Lea. Get off at the Whinfield Lane stop then walk 1 minute (around 325 feet) to Creative Space Centre. (Approx. 1hr, 10mins)

Question 2

Is there parking?

Accepted Answer

You can park directly outside the building. There are 4 minibus spaces and 13 car spaces, 4 of which are disabled spaces. You can also park on Egerton Road or at Homebase. Please DON'T park in Whinfield Lane or Pedders Grove as this is dangerous due to these roads being narrow and busy.

Is there an accessible toilet?

There are two large changing place rooms with H frame hoists, changing and shower beds, sinks and toilets. Visitors do need to bring their own slings.

There are also four accessible toilets and two ordinary toilets.

Can we bring our own food?

Accepted Answer

There's a social & eating area, with access to the gardens. Using the honesty box, you may buy a drink & snack.

Alternatively you can bring your own packed lunch or pre-prepared meals. There is a kettle, toaster, hand blender and microwave so you can heat up food. Please take away your own rubbish.

The beautiful historic gardens behind the Space Centre are now available for use before and after the session.

The woodland walk has exciting sensory features and all paths are wheelchair-friendly.
