About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Sexual Harassment in the workplace training ensures organisations have a good understanding of the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 and the changes to this Act from October 2024 which places a duty on them to take all reasonable preventative steps.

I cover the guidance provided by the EHRC, previous case law and interpret this into usable information to help you remain compliant. The first half of the training is providing the information with some interactive exercises and the second half of the training is where I help the attendees look at what this will look like in their workplace working through the 8 point guidance.

Did you know that the EHRC can now issue hefty fines to employers who are failing to meet the preventative duty? In addition, tribunals who find in favour of a claimant can uplift the compensation payment by up to 25% if they find the employer has failed to be compliant with the duty.  The preventative duty now also covers risk assessments for third party risks which is why I would highly recommend all employers attend the training to avoid costly litigation for non compliance.
