Hosted by Andreea Magdalina, founder of shesaidso, the event will showcase inspiring speakers who will touch upon topics such as diversity, mental health or getting your first job within the music industry. This event will be followed by a speed-networking session where everyone will be able to discuss and get advice from women in the industry.Music by DJ Tayo IkuPanelists:Jyoty, Broadcaster/DJ/Editor, Rinse FM/MixcloudEstablished as the voice of Saturday morning on Rinse FM over the past three years, Jyoty's inimitable skill as an interviewer and musical selector has won her a loyal following the world over.Leila Fataar - Founder Platform 13Leila Fataar is the founder of Platform13 and a passionate advocate for equality, championing diversity and representation in the advertising and communications industry. The company opened in August 2017 to answer challenges faced by brands in the ever changing world of agencies and creative as well as the swiftly moving cultural landscape. Platform13 is an independent multidiscipline company establishing and securing long-lasting relevance for big brands.Pegasus Warning - Performer Guillermo E. Brown is an LA-based multi-disciplinary performer aka Pegasus Warning. He has collaborated with a number of artists including Mocky, Twin Shadow, Saul Williams, DJDS, Jamie Lidell, and more. His work has received support from the likes of The New York Times, NPR, SPIN, WIRED, Quincy Jones, and Elton John to name a few. A graduate of Wesleyan University (BA) and Bard College (MFA), Brown has taught Afrofuturism and Electronic Music History through the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU. He has held multiple residencies including MIT’s Center for Art, Science, and Technology for Bee Boy which has also been awarded grants from Creative Capital, MAP Fund, and APAP. He is the recipient of two EMMY’s and most recently appears as the drummer in the house band (KAREN) of The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS, with music director Reggie Watts. Fans can expect the release of his debut album under Pegasus Warning later this year.
