This year Karin Slaughter will be back with us in person again to celebrate the publication of her 25th novel, We Are All Guilty Here.
Host Simon Toyne will kick off the evening and introduce Karin Slaughter to the stage, who will be interviewed by bestselling author Clare Mackintosh.
Next up, we will see our first panel ‘Behind Closed Doors’ with Abigail Dean, Gillian McAllister and Louise Candlish. This panel brings together authors whose novels explore how our closest relationships are not always as they seem. What really goes on behind closed doors? The panel will discuss all the ways the cracks can emerge ...
This year will see a new element to our programming, with a Debut Spotlight with author Nina Bhadreshwar.
Our next panel sees a criminal defence lawyer, a broadcaster and a former pharmacist discuss how these different career paths have inspired their fiction writing. ‘From Fact to Fiction’ will bring Jeremy Vine, Nadine Matheson and A. A. Dhand to the stage.
We’re very excited to be bringing Stig Abell’s Detective Dinner Party Instagram series to stage, where Stig helps fellow authors put together their dream dinner party from characters and other icons from the genre. Karin Slaughter, S. J. Parris and William Shaw will be joining Stig to craft their perfect guest list.
The evening will be rounded off by an opportunity to chat with our fantastic panellists, plus a chance to bag exclusive early proofs for some of the most anticipated upcoming crime novels.
Books will be available to purchase on the evening from our partnering bookstore, Waterstones.
