About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

In this one hour collage workshop, we will be using different surfaces and materials, cutting them up and re-arranging, to explore objects.

You will be guided through a series of dynamic exercises to support in observing your object from different perspectives. Visually dissecting the object will allow us to see it beyond its overall immediate form, but instead through the shapes, patterns and textures.

The workshop will be hosted by Phoebe Moss. Phoebe is an Artist with a Textiles background. She is interested in the holistic benefits of visual arts. Her background in Textiles has lead to the discovery and appreciation of Pattern, this has lead to an interest in the broad, cross disciplinary and both creative and methodical way of exploring subjects.

For this workshop you will need the following equipment:

  • Paper or card (to stick on to)
  • Object (to work from)
  • Scissors
  • A collection of different surfaces/photos/paper/fabric
  • Glue (Tape and staplers can also be used)
  • Any drawing equipment you may have (pencils, crayons, pastels etc.
