Join artist Rachel Grimes and Care for the Carers Artist in Residence Alison Cotton, for a relaxing creative day in the company of other carers, meeting at the Blackboys Inn, where we begin with a cuppa and introductions. Then we set off to explore some publically accessible woods, collect natural materials for wreath making, and create forest mandalas.
Returning to the pub for lunch, all included in your ticket, we will use the indoor space to make our Spring Wreaths.
You can reach Blackboys by public transport on the 29X or 29A bus.
This event is free of charge, thanks to our funders, and is designed for unpaid carers looking to unwind and get creative in a friendly group. Lunch and refreshments are included. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature through art with fellow carers. See you there!
Bring a warm layer/waterproof just in case and suitable footwear as it might be muddy in the woods. There are no stiles to cross, but the surface is likely to be uneven.
