Programme
Still life drawing is a wonderfully meditative practice. With years of experience, Kathy your tutor, will give you prompts and tips for creating your unique sketches. Over the course of three intensive all day sessions, take your still life drawing to the next level.
We will be covering a range of topics including:
- Planning a composition.
- Rendering objects realistically - and the limits of realistic rendering.
- Using different drawing materials and their advantages and disadvantages.
- Introducing colour into drawn still life.
Hosted in the beautiful Victoria Gallery & Museum we will select objects on display around the gallery and museum to inspire our sketches, focusing on the details, textures and forms of these unique and historical pieces.
Tutor: Kathy Dereli
Kathy is trained in traditional techniques in drawing and sculpture which she uses to create well-crafted artworks with a modern sensibility. She has led classes and demonstrations in both disciplines for several years.
