About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Digital storytelling is paradoxically both simple and very hard to do. But if you follow a few simple rules, and stick to them you can be successful, even with limited resources. Using lots of examples from the sector, Jeremy Skeet, the former head of Social Media at BBC News, will explore practical, low-cost strategies to cut through the noise, build genuine connections, and hopefully inspire action.

Jeremy Skeet is an award winning journalist with a proven record in digital story telling, innovation and attracting new audiences. As head of Social Media at BBC News, he oversaw massive growth in BBC News Instagram account, making it the world’s largest news account, and launched BBC News on TikTok. Since leaving the BBC he has taught digital storytelling, and launched a podcast.

If you have any specific questions or areas you’d like Jeremy to address please email them to us at: kelly@intdevalliance.scot, and he’ll do his best to answer them in his presentation.
