Pari Dhillon
Pari is the Director of the Social Justice Collective. After 20+ years of leading charities, she now works with organisations and communities to centre social justice in their purpose and practice. She is a Trustee of UK Black Pride and founder of the SJC Circle—a healing, learning, and action-oriented collective of social justice practitioners. Pari is an anti-racism and queer rights activist, part-time potter, and lesbian mother of two.
Debbie Penglis
Debbie will be delivering a masterclass on feedback, along with other sessions. She has spent her career in the not-for-profit sector, specialising in operations, programmes, and transformation. Currently a Director at Social Finance, she works in the groundbreaking IPS Grow team. Her past roles include Director of Programmes for education charity Future First and Director of Partnerships at School 21 in East London. She is passionate about how great organisational culture leads to efficient, high-quality public sector delivery. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, football, and spending time with her cat, Carra.
Joaquin Figaredo
Joaquin will be delivering specialist courses on core management consultancy skills, including budgeting, presenting, and using Excel. With over 20 years of experience, he has held Managing Director roles in foundations and impact investing initiatives, advising on social, environmental, and climate philanthropy. His career bridges the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, bringing robust management consulting skills to drive efficiency and impact. Joaquin is passionate about sharing actionable skills and strategic insights to empower professionals and support meaningful organisational change.
Shani Newbold
Shani has over 20 years’ experience in executive recruitment, talent management, and leadership development, with a strong focus on creating diverse and inclusive workplaces. As the founder of Cadence Partners, she works with charities and non-profits to build leadership pipelines, develop diverse talent, and create fairer recruitment processes. She has contributed to key sector initiatives, including No More Tickboxes and the NHS Board Recruitment Compact, helping organisations improve how they attract and retain future leaders. Shani also advises on leadership development through her roles with Agenda Alliance, The Fore, and ACEVO.
