The “Supercharge Your Freelancing with AI & Automation” workshop is designed for freelancers, side hustlers, and entrepreneurs who want to leverage cutting-edge technology to work smarter, not harder. In this hands-on session, participants will explore how AI tools and automation can streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve client service. By experimenting with practical applications, attendees will leave with actionable insights to save time, reduce manual effort, and scale their business efficiently.

About The Speaker

Daren White is a highly experienced teacher and Senior Leader with a passion for integrating technology into education. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and over 10 years in leadership roles, he is now Academic Technologies Lead at Lift Schools, one of the UK's largest Multi-Academy Trusts. A Google Champion, certified Trainer, Innovator, and Coach, Daren co-leads GEG UK and is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator and an Apple Teacher. Daren is a dynamic presenter who delivers keynotes, coaching, training, workshops and events both in the UK and internationally. Daren also facilitates transformation workshops for small businesses and not-for-profits. Daren was named in the #edtech50 2021 and in 2023 proudly won the Skills Development Champion Award at The Edufuturists Awards and was a Silver Winner for Digital Innovator of the Year in the 2023 National Teaching Awards. Daren also published his own book What’s Their Why?: Exploring Motivation and Engagement in Learning

About Freelancer Club

In 2008, Matt Dowling spent his last £300 on a lawyer in an effort to recover £11,000 that was owed to him from an unpaid invoice. The final attempt failed. Matt, a freelance photographer, was broke, frustrated and out of ideas. The story made the national press and freelancers reached out with similar tales. Realising the need for support and determined to put a stop to the exploitation of creative freelancers, the seeds of Freelancer Club were sown. Today, Freelancer Club is one of the leading creative communities online with over 65,000 freelancer members supporting one another. We empower freelancers through an ecosystem, providing them with training, resources, mentorship, and a vibrant community to thrive in.

About Better Space

This workshop will be held at Better Space, in the lower ground floor presentation area which is fully accessible by lift and entry from the main door on Farringdon road. Please arrive no earlier than 12:00, unless you book a taster coworking day or day pass which can be done by emailing betterspace@city.ac.uk. There are washroom facilities and access to water, tea and coffee, as well as on-road bike racks.
