About this event

Life can be unexpectedly hard at times.

It can be the unexpected loss of a job, a loved one, money, health, a life circumstance, a relationship etc..

  • Are you currently dealing with a great challenge, or a few?
  • Or have you just come through a big problem in your life?
  • Are you currently living with someone and trying to support them through a major life challenge?
  • Maybe you're in a good place in your life right now after having overcome so many life obstacles and you would like to attend and share your story with others and support others?

If you can relate to any of the above then this event is for you!

For the next three months we will be coming together once a month for a couple of hours to talk about and share any issues you might be having or had that you have overcome and/or are in the middle of overcoming. These sessions will also cover some hacks on how to survive a fast changing world .

So whether you would like to attend to receive from other attendees support, or to give others support, or to learn how to survive and cope, then I invite you to come and celebrate our ability to be resilient as human beings. Especially during these times where everything seems so challenging. We are all living life as best we can and sometimes the load feels heavy, and this event is just a chance for us all to remember that regardless of whatever is going on, we are not alone. Even when we feel like we are all alone and no one else is having the same experience and and we just feel we cannot carry on.This event offers a 2 hour oasis in person to meet others and connect with them.

WHAT IS THIS EVENT ABOUT, WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR AND HOW IS IT BEING RUN?

This event is rather unique. It offers attendee the chance to offer support, receive support and also learn new skills and hacks on how to become more resilient and cope better in a fast moving world.

🟡This event is the first of 3 monthly events in celebration of being human and having the resilience to deal with all life throws at us as human beings. It is suitable for adult men and women of any age from 18 years old upwards.Everyone is welcome.

🟡The aim is simple: to realize that you are not alone. Whatever you are going through, you can share as much or as little as you choose to share. Or you can simply come to hear and support others. This does not mean giving others advise or being told what to do, but rather just offering to hold space for others and if needed, to offer words of encouragement.

🟡We will also be looking at effective skills needed to be able to function better from the inside, becoming someone who can navigate life's transitions with greater ease.

🟡This event will be run in an indoor venue (either pub or cafe etc..)in the Carshalton, South London. (The meet up point has been listed where we will all convene and then after 10 minutes move to the event venue which will only be disclosed on the day to attendees that have paid and turned up).

BENEFITS OF ATTENDING:

As a Mastery Facilitator, I will be running this event for anyone wanting to connect with others as a means to acknowledge that all of us are doing the best we can in life. The 2 hour monthly events for 3 months will be run informally through in person group chats.

📌Tell your story and get support, or just come and listen, if this is what is wanted :This is a chance to feel heard and supported. Or if preferred, just to attend and hear about others who are going through their own hardships.

📌Give support:While the sole aim is to give support it is not to give advise or tell anyone else what to do. The support is given without judgement and with kindess and care in mind. Hopefully by someone telling their story this might inspire someone else!

📌Learn new skills and hacks on how to change and become more resilient in the midst of an ever changing world.

📌Meet new people: When we go through hardships we tend to feel no one is going through the same thing or no one else will understand what we are going through. Joining in means that you can meet new people and potentially make new friends.

The Survivors Club is being run for 3 months once a month, is not being run as a support group structure, or overseen by a therapist/mental health expert. This space is therefore not suitable for anyone suffering from severe or chronic (diagnosed or undiagnosed) mental health problems. So please keep in mind that you need to be responsible for your own emotional wellbeing during the event, as it is impossible to attend to individual triggers in a group setting not being run as a formal support group. Please be mindful of this before RSVPing. If any attendees find they are struggling and need further help please contact me and I can signpost you to the relevant support/mental health specialist(s) that can offer appropriate help.

Organised by

Connected Exclusive Events was set up to run high quality events that do not break the bank!

The focus is simple: going back to basics and connecting to nature, self and others in a way that offers variety in the sort of activities offered, in London and Greater London areas.

  • With all the events only areas are listed and meet up points (with photos), making it super easy to know where we will be meeting up for the events. The event location will only be disclosed to attendees when they show up to the event on the day.
  • The aim is to create a community of amazing people who are encouraged to get together monthly: so the events are geared towards people who are intentional and actually show up to events!
  • These events are run simply. Meaning that unlike many events being run, there is no need to join Whatsapp groups to stay updated and no social media gimmicks will be offered to take part. During and after the events , who attendees connect with and how they choose to stay in touch, is up to each individual person. So the events are being run as phone/technology free-events. This means that it is encouraged (but not mandatory) for mobile phones to be switched off or in the very least silenced throughout the events until towards the end of the events when phones can be switched on. This is to ensure a better experience is had at connecting with each other without distractions and allowing for the possibility of being more present with others.

A wide variety of events are on offer, so there are options and choice for most if what you are after is an in person community where reconnecting with nature, oneself and others in what you're after and you're looking for it to be meaningful and fun ! Whether you are shy or an extrovert, do join in...a big warm welcome is guaranteed!
