About this event

Overview

This workshop is designed for you if you work in short film production and want to improve your knowledge of industry sustainability. By taking this course you will also learn practical measures to reduce climate impacts in your role. This is an interactive 90-minute session for those at all levels in their career.

With a collaborative approach, the workshop will feature active discussions about how to operate more sustainably when working on short film set. You will be asked to bring real-world examples of sustainability challenges encountered in your roles to bring the discussion to life.

After completing the 90-minute session, you will receive a Sustainability Workshop: Short Film Production (BFI Sustainable Screen) certificate, badge, and details of further support available in this area.

This certificate will count as evidence towards the production training question of the BAFTA albert Carbon Action Plan. [Question: Have any of the production staff or crew attended albert training or will they do so by the end of production?]

Please note that the content of this training is designed for UK audiences.

PLEASE NOTE: this workshop does not cover how to navigate and use the albert toolkit. For this, please watch our recorded walkthrough (albert Toolkit Walkthrough - YouTube) or join a Toolkit Q&A session.

BAFTA albert makes every effort to ensure our trainings are accessible to all. Please contact alberttraining@bafta.org if you have any questions or would like to discuss the access adjustments available for albert Academy trainings.

This workshop has been made possible with funding from the BFI National Lottery Sustainable Screen Fund, which supports all BFI National Lottery awardees in building understanding and action on making positive environmental change and sharing information to benefit the wider sector.
