Brought to life through dance, Switch demonstrates the pain, strength, and resilience faced by women with PMDD—a severe, often debilitating condition that impacts the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of those affected.
For someone experiencing PMDD, their body can feel like it’s constantly switching between extremes. One moment, they might feel fine, or even optimistic, and in the next, they could be overwhelmed by intense emotional shifts, physical pain, or a sense of losing control. The challenge isn’t just managing symptoms—it’s navigating this unpredictable terrain where it feels like one’s emotional and physical self is constantly shifting without warning; creating a sense of disconnection and internal chaos.
This heartfelt, emotional exploration provides insight into the years of living with PMDD and the turmoil it creates.
A show by Shannon McCann
