The Taste of Heaven Intercultural Worship Festival will be an exciting opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural diversity and creativity of the UK church through live performances, workshops, food and worship. The festival will take place in the iconic venue of Coventry Cathedral and its beautiful surrounding ruins.
The festival will trace our history of increasing diversity in the UK church, by celebrating different expressions of worship from Celtic to Choral, South Asian and African Caribbean, to more recent immigrant communities from South America, Africa and the Middle East.
Alongside main-stage worship, attendees will experience insightful talks, practical workshops, and valuable resources to learn about building more intercultural communities. The cathedral’s stunning grounds and ruins will also come alive with family-friendly activities, music and dance performances, and international street food, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.
Featuring a dynamic array of worship expressions, the festival lineup includes:
The culmination of the day will be an Intercultural Worship celebration from 6-8pm which will affirm our unity in Christ and inspire you to include more intercultural worship in your own church setting.
Why not bring a group from your church (including your youth and young adults!) and enjoy a great day out together on the bank holiday weekend?
