Why does my £10 ticket cost £11.55?

Accepted Answer

The organisers are charged a service fee, per ticket sale, for use of the ticketing platform.  The additional £1.55 per ticket covers that admin charge, so we can donate more of your £10 ticket to the local organisations we are supporting.  Thank you for your understanding.

Question 2

What are the local causes you are raising money for?

Accepted Answer

The main beneficiary will be St. John's church, Beckermet, to fund urgent repairs and refurbishment works.  Donations shall also be made to Young Farmers and North West Air Ambulance.  Payments to these recipients shall be conditional on the event making a profit.

Question 3

Are the organisers making any money out of the event?

Accepted Answer

No.  The organisers won't make any money from the event but costs of putting on the event will be covered from ticket sales. The balance shall be the donations to the recipient organisations.

Question 4

Do I need to bring cash?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You definitely need to bring cash as our food, drinks and icecream vendors may not have card machines available.

Question 5

What if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

The event will be going ahead whatever the weather but it is held at in a huge marquee so you will basically be indoors.  Don't let the weather or time of year put you off.
