For the last two years, Buckholt Bryngaer has been working in partnership with Cadw, Churchill Archaeology and local people on a community dig that has explored the mysterious hillfort - and other sites - buried under the trees at Buckholt. Thanks to this collective effort, the site is being hailed as one of the most important archaelogical discoveries in Wales, inhabited for at least 6000 years! Join us for a revelatory talk and tour in the company of archaeologist Kate Churchill, and Amelia Pannett from Cadw, who will share the extraordinary finds that have been made – many of them by you!

This event will begin with a talk at Welsh Newton Village Hall from 3pm-4pm. We will then move to our community shelter at Buckholt Woods for a tour of the dig sites from 4.30pm-5.30pm.
