The Night Flower cabaret is the love child of a rock gig, burlesque performance and live art show. Intercut with poetry readings and sweeping vocal soundscapes.
An inherently feminist piece, with themes of social perception, internalised sexism and ableism. This cabaret amalgamates the frustration of existing in a society that squanders anyone who doesn’t identify as a cisgendered man. Influenced authentically, directly from lived experiences.
Featuring gig style music by Victoria Angelique Mertzanidis (she/they), accompanied by a live rock band. Burlesque performances by Sian Dowler (they/them) and live artwork by Jordan Stanfield (she/they.)
