We are pleased to welcome Mary Banks from Mountbatten to run a session on the practicalities of safe care. You can expect to learn the following:
- How to move well and keep yourself safe when assisting others with care needs, including helping someone move in bed, mobilise, in and our of car etc.
- Useful equipment and gadgets to aid the carer.
- Problem solving Q&A with any practical challenges/examples of difficulties in caring for someone.
The session will be taking place at Portswood Church, Portswood Rd, Portswood, Southampton SO17 2FY from 1pm - 3pm. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Parking is available for 2 hours in Waitrose carpark which is opposite the church.
This is an event for Unpaid Carers who are registered with our service. We kindly ask that you do not book a ticket if you are not registered with Unpaid Carers Support Southampton.
