Both days, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June:

The Enchanted Tudor Rose

Jenny of ‘The Enchanted Tudor Rose’ will display and talk about her replica jewellery designed for the TV series ‘Wolf Hall’.

Lady Samantha – performs a dressing up and a dressing down of a Tudor Lady. Once Lady Samantha and her Queens will lead visitors in some simple dance as performed in Tudor times.

The Merchant’s House Musicians – will be providing traditional Tudor music on replica period instruments, including pipe and tabor, recorders of various sizes, gems horn, crumhorn, drums and percussion.

Art activity – Participate in an art activity based on Acton Court graffiti.

On Sunday 29 June we will be joined by Sir Thomas Cromwell and Tudor music group Waytes and Measures.


Thomas Cromwell, the King's formidable Chief Minister, was at the height of his power in summer 1535 when he joined the Royal Progress.

Discover the pivotal changes in religion and politics as Cromwell evaluates the loyalties and practices of the land.

Waytes and Measures a group of singers and musicians, based in northern Gloucestershire, will be playing and singing music from Medieval times up to the mid 16th Century.

Admission times: There will be two time slots 10:30 -13:00 and 14:00 -16:30.

Admission prices: Adult £16.96 including booking fee. Children, 11 and under, by arrangement, email info@actoncourt.com.

You can check out as a guest using your credit or debit card or with your Paypal Account.

There will be no audio guides but there will be visual information and Blue Badge Guides available to answer questions.


Amenities

There is free parking and partial access for disabled visitors.

Light refreshments are available on site: tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice cream and a wide selection of cakes and pastries, including gluten free options.
