Understanding Leadership & Regulatory Responsibilities in Children’s Social Care

This seminar will provide a comprehensive understanding of the legal, regulatory, and leadership responsibilities attached to these roles, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to fulfill their duties effectively.

In regulated children’s services, the Nominated Individual (Supported Accommodation) and the Responsible Individual (Children's Homes) play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, upholding high-quality care standards, and providing strategic oversight. Their responsibilities extend beyond operational management, requiring them to ensure accountability, governance, and safeguarding practices are embedded across the organization.

Why This Course Matters

The roles of Nominated Individual and Responsible Individual are legally required in children’s social care settings, and failure to fulfill these duties effectively can lead to regulatory breaches, enforcement action, and compromised care quality. This course will help participants:
✔️ Understand the statutory requirements and legal duties of Nominated and Responsible Individuals
✔️ Navigate Ofsted regulations, compliance expectations, and inspection frameworks
✔️ Learn how to implement robust governance and quality assurance processes
✔️ Strengthen safeguarding leadership and risk management
✔️ Develop effective communication and collaboration with regulators and stakeholders
