Stephen Turner lived alone for six weeks on the abandoned Mauncel Seaforts at Shivering Sands five miles off the north Kent coast in August-September 2005. As part of the Estuary Anthology in Estuary Festival 2025 he will share his story by showing, still images, video and sound from his time aboard and from his research into the fort's history (they were constructed during WW2) along with ephemera from the forts to handle and examine and insights into the year long education programme supported by Arts Council England funded Creative Partnerships.

The artist will be pleased to sign copies of his book 'Seafort' for sale at the discounted price of £10. The book incuded contributions from curator Sue Jones, Writer Ian Hunt and an interview with author Rachel Lichenstein.
