About this event

Update - I only have two ladies' tickets left to sell! I captured ages for the event for the gents and we have seven men in their 50s, five men in their 60s and three men in their 70s.

We all need love and connection - meeting in real life is making a massive comeback! Tickets are limited, so grab yours quickly! To attend this event, you must be over 50 AND, importantly, single!

If you're single and fed up with online dating, come along and find some real-life connections - that could be friendships, dates or just the opportunity to socialise and find out more about the other attendees.

This event has a wide age range, so make sure you're happy with friendship AND dating if you would like to attend this event!

Shropshire Golf Centre is open before the speed dating evening, so you're welcome to arrive early for a drink or to grab some food from their menu (payable directly to the venue, not via Speed Dating Shropshire).

Frequently asked questions

What happens when I arrive at the speed dating venue arrive?

When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our chatty, friendly team. They will take you into the bar area where you can buy a drink. If you are the first guest to arrive one of our hosts will stay with you until other guests arrive.

How does speed dating work?

Ladies will have one table number for the event and will remain here. Men, you will then be asked to sit at one of these table numbers. The bell will ring, signalling the start of the first date. You have 4 minutes to chat and suss each other out before moving on to the next date.

How do I connect with people after the speed dating event?

If you have ticked that you would like to see someone again and they have done the same, then we will send you each other’s email and phone number within 24 hours of the event finishing. If you have not found a match, we will still let you know and invite you to our next event.

How will I remember who is who?

You will have a dating card which has a notes section – we suggest making lots of notes i.e. what job do they have? What do they look like? Their age? Anything that stands out and makes you think ‘YEAAAH I want to go out with this person again!’

What happens if not enough people buy tickets?

We will not run the event unless we have sold at least 20 tickets (10 male and 10 female) – we want you to have at least 10 dates. If, for any reason, we do not sell enough tickets to bring you an awesome dating experience, we will postpone the event and offer you a full refund.

How many dates will there be?

A minimum of 10 male and 10 female tickets will be sold, and I am hoping there will be between 15 and 20, but I will need to discuss increasing from 15 to date with the venue nearer the time, depending on demand.

I am not quite within the age group, can I still attend?

To attend this event, I would recommend you are 50 and above but if you are 2-3 years younger, you are welcome to attend too.
