We are delighted to announce that Shakespeare in the Squares will be celebrating its eighth anniversary with a new production of The Taming of the Shrew, a battle of wits, wills and wild romance complete with toe-tapping pop classics.
Shakespeare in the Squares stages a Shakespeare play in London gardens every summer. Their minimal sets transform gardens into magical settings without the use of artificial lighting, intrusive rigs or amplification. Their aim is to provide a showcase for young, professional actors, many have gone on to perform with the National Theatre and other mainstream companies. The company’s Patron is Dame Judi Dench.
The production will be directed by Toby Gordon.
The performance will begin promptly at 7pm and will be over by approximately 9pm. We hope the audience will picnic before the show from 5.30pm. We will contact you with details of bar and catering facilities before the event.
