About this event

Immerse yourself in the world of Sophie and enjoy a cup of tea with the Tiger!

Judith Kerr deposited her life’s work with Seven Stories in 2008 and this constitutes one of the most significant collections of artwork by a single illustrator in the Seven Stories collection. This exhibition was initially created by Seven Stories as a celebration of 50 years of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, by Judith Kerr. First published in 1968, the book has been enjoyed by thousands of children who have gone on to share it with their own children, and perhaps even grandchildren too.

Visitors will find family friendly activities alongside reproductions of Judith Kerr’s beloved illustrations from the famous picture book:

  • Play in the kitchen
  • Get creative and help make the tea party
  • Learn more about Judith Kerr
  • Complete our visitor survey and sign up to our mailing list for the chance to win our exhibition related prize.
  • Join the Tiger for tea at the table for the perfect photo opportunity!

To guarantee entry upon arrival, we recommend booking a 10 minute arrival slot. Simply book here and show us your booking confirmation on arrival.

If you have not booked, or have arrived outside your booked arrival slot, you may need to wait due to the limited capacity of the exhibition space.

For those who would like to visit the museum at less busy times, we recommend the first and last hour of each day as the quietest times to visit.
