Is there parking?

We have very limited parking, which is why the event is limited to 14 families, with 1 car allocated per family.

Question 2

Are there toilets, hand washing  and baby-change facilities?

Accepted Answer

We have toilets on site, including accessible toilet with baby-changing table. However, much of our time is spent in the forest (with no facilities) so we advise making use of those on site, before the event.

Question 3

What if my child is under 18 months/older then 5 years?

Accepted Answer

Siblings under 18 months do not require a ticket. The event designed and suitable for the age range described, older siblings can attend but a ticket must be booked.

When should we arrive?

Please 10 to15 minutes before the start of the event.

What is expected of parents/carers?

Accepted Answer

Hive staff will lead the events, explain activities, introduce rules, and assist all children where they can. However, carers will be expected to support their children with the practicalities and help enforce rules. It is the joint responsibility of all adults to keep the group safe.

Question 6

Is there a café or can I bring a picnic?

There is no café on site but you are welcome to bring a picnic and stay on the site for an hour after the session. There are also several options nearby. The closest indoor eatery is The Owl pub, at Lippits Hill. For a choice of options, visit High Beach visitor centre and carpark

Do you cancel in adverse weather conditions?

Our events will run in almost all weathers - Please make sure that you check the forecast and dress appropriately. If we need to cancel, you will be offered a refund or alternative event.

How many adults can accompany their children?

Accepted Answer

Up to two adults can accompany their children at our events.

What if I need to cancel?

Accepted Answer

If you cancel with more than 7 days' notice, we will offer a refund (minus the booking fee) or alternative event (subject to availability). Please note, that if you cancel with less than 7 days' notice, you will still be charged in full. Thank you for understanding.
