Thy Kingdom Come 2025

Thy Kingdom Come is a global wave of prayer which takes places every year between Ascension Day and Pentecost. Christians around the world are encouraged to pray for people they know to come to faith. It is a movement that unites Christians across traditions, denominations and nations. And this year the theme is MAKING ROOM encouraging all us to make room for the work of Holy Spirit in each one us, and to make room for the Jesus in how we live our lives. It is a theme that honours kingdom principles in how we make room for others, in our churches, in our communities, and in our world today. Keeping in mind the most vulnerable in our thoughts and prayers.

Pentecost Celebration

We are delighted that this year's Thy Kingdom Come 'celebration service will be at Exeter Cathedral on Pentecost Sunday. This is an ecumenical event and we'd love as many churches as possible to bring a group for an inspiring evening of prayer and worship led by Bishop Mike Harrison, with music led by Andy Flannagan and speaker Dr Krish Kandiah OBE

He is recognised as an expert in refugee resettlement , child welfare reform, educational innovation and civil society mobilisation.

Krish has led the charge on mobilising civil society groups and churches as they have supported recent arrivals from Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Sudan.

He is a regular advisor to government. He was appointed by the Secretary of State for Education as the Chair of the Adoption and Special Guardianship Leadership Board (2019-2021) where he brought strategic leadership to the finding of permanent loving families for children in the care system.
