About this event
Brought to you by Tooting Run Club (TRC) in partnership with Ellie’s School for Dogs, we’re thrilled to introduce ‘Doggy Dash’—a new monthly run especially for our four-legged friends and their owners!
Event Details
Date: Launching Sunday 16th March 2025 and running every third Sunday of the month
Meeting Point: Tooting Athletics Track
Check-in: From 09:45 (Eventbrite ticket required)
Run Start: Shortly after 10:00
Location: Tooting Common
Distance: 1.5 miles (approx), two laps of route pictured below.
Harnesses: All dogs MUST be on some kind of harness. We recommend a short running harness by Non-stop or canicross style. Dogs running on a collar won't be permitted, as it increases risk of injury. There may be cheaper options too but key thing is to ensure the harness rests on the sternum so the dog has no restrictions on its joint, muscle movement and does not interfere with breathing.
What to Expect
This is a relaxed, chatty, social run, led by a qualified run leader. After checking in at Tooting Athletics Track—where we have a bag drop—runners will have a chance to network with fellow participants before heading over to Tooting Common for a fun and friendly group run.
How to Participate
Entry is FREE, but an Eventbrite ticket is required for each session.
One ticket per person—if booking an additional ticket for a friend, please register second ticket in their name. By signing up, you confirm that you and your dog are fit to participate. If you or your dog have any medical conditions, please consult your doctor or vet before attending.
