True Story DRAFT is a free or donation-based* monthly workshop for anyone interested in sharing or listening to early drafts of true, personal stories in a relaxed, friendly setting above a pub near London Bridge.
Our focus is on shaping personal stories into short, well-crafted pieces suitable for a dinner table, a True Story show, or just for fun. This workshop emphasizes the craft of storytelling using a best-practices listening guide and 4-5 live examples over 90 minutes. Facilitators and story coaches provide tips and insights into story craft during discussions.
How It Works:
- Storytellers: Sign up and bring a draft (written or unwritten) of a true story no longer than five minutes to share aloud. Receive constructive feedback from listeners, fellow storytellers, and coaches.
- Listeners: Come to hear stories with the option to provide feedback.
The format is casual and conversational, with a focus on building community through stories. If this sounds like a vibe you'd like, we’d love to have you join us!
Prior signup is required. Select a 'Storyteller' ticket if you want to share a story, as storyteller slots are limited.
Signed up but can no longer attend? Please update your status to allow space for others, especially if you’ve signed up as a storyteller, since those slots are limited.
*Donations help cover room rental costs.
