Please use your UAL email address to sign up for this group.
All students will need to meet with a facilitator for an assessment to explore your circumstances. We cannot offer a place in the support group until you have attended an assessment.
You can request to join the UAL Bereavement support group if you want to meet with other UAL students who have experienced a significant loss. The group meets weekly during the term.
You will have the opportunity to share your experience of bereavement with other bereaved students. This support group is intended to aid you on your journey in processing your feelings about the loss that you may have experienced. All attendees are UAL students who have experienced a bereavement. There will be a maximum of 8 students and 2 facilitators in the group.
We normally advise that students wait at least 6 months after a bereavement before considering the support group. You are welcome to sign up and explore whether the group may be helpful to you, with one of the facilitators.
The group is facilitated by two staff members from UAL's Counselling, Health Advice and Chaplaincy team. The group meets in-person, weekly during term time at UAL's Holborn building.
Before being admitted to the group, you will be invited to a meeting with one of the staff who facilitate the group, to ensure that this is the right option for you.
We also offer a single session workshop, 'Coping with Bereavement and Loss' that all UAL students can attend.
