UCL Computational Cancer Collaboratorium Seminar Series
UCL’s Computational Cancer Collaboratorium draws together the extensive and diverse expertise in UCL in the area of computational cancer, and to enhance and enable collaborative working in the area. Our new seminar series reflects this cross-disciplinary interest, bringing together leading speakers from across cancer and computational science.
Students and staff from all faculties are welcome and encouraged to join.

Title: Developing a UCLH Data Pipeline for UCL Cancer Researchers
Abstract: There is an increasing need for real-world data in cancer-related research work. As research lead of for the UCLH cancer division digital strategy group, Dr Brand is keen to outline the problems in current data retrieval; discuss data types that might be of interest; outline proposed infrastructure in development to support UCL research work requiring UCLH data. In all cases Dr Brand is very interested to hear about problems, requirements and desires of audience.
Biography: Dr Douglas Brand is a Clinical Lecturer in Clinical Oncology in the Department of of Med Physics & Biomedical Engineering at UCL. Alongside his academic position, Brand is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at University College London Hospitals specialising in GI cancer. He has a specialised interest in cancer outcome prediction through machine learning.
