About this event

  • Event lasts 8 hours

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality services in higher or further education organisations? Are you involved in higher or further education, education policy, digital services, or are simply interested in the education space? If so, UKEduCamp is for you!

UKEduCamp is an unconference - this means there are no pre-planned sessions. Instead, everyone turns up with ideas of what they want to talk about or discuss.

Any attendee can run a session, and you go to the sessions that fit your interests. This makes it a great opportunity for you to find people who are tackling the same issues as you and learn from each other through sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Best of all, this event is completely free to attend and we'll also be providing tea, coffee and lunch!

Sign up now and join us in Sheffield on the 26th June 2025!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Frequently asked questions

Who is UKEduCamp for?

UKEduCamp is for those keen on improving services in higher and further education. Whether you're in an academic or a support role, or working elsewhere in your organisation, if you're involved in change and improvement centered on user needs, you'll find like-minded people here!

What is an unconference?

Essentially, it’s a conference without predefined topics or talks. There is a high-level structure and overarching theme, however the topics are generated on the day by the attendees. The first activity of the day invites attendees to pitch ideas for sessions, which we then organise into a programme

What kind of things can I pitch?

Anything that you think will be interesting or relevant to the attendees. You might come with something prepared to share, or you might like to lead a discussion. Or you might just like to be part of a group considering a topic or issue, but you don’t want to lead or facilitate it yourself.

What talks will there be at UKEduCamp?

It’s up to you! The beauty of an unconference is that the attendees set the agenda by pitching sessions at the start of the day. During pitching, you will hear all of the potential sessions going on during the day, and you get to attend and participate in those which interest you the most.

Can suppliers attend?

If you work for a supplier to the higher/further education sector, or public sector organisations more generally, you are also welcome to come along and share your expertise, experience opinions, but this is not a place to sell your product or pitch your services.

How much does UKEduCamp cost to attend?

UKEduCamp is free to attend. We're very lucky to have some fantastic sponsors who have made it possible for the event to be free for everyone.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes. We will be providing lunch for attendees. If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know via the sign-up form. If conference lunches aren't your thing, you are also welcome to head out in to Sheffield to grab a bite to eat during the lunch break.

Can I arrive late or leave early?

Yes. However if you wish to pitch and run a session you will need to be at the event during the pitching period (roughly 10-11am) and be available to run your session. If you have restrictions on your availability, there will be an opportunity to discuss this with the organising team on the day.
