Overview of Course
Create wonderful projects using various recycled glass containers like pasta sauce, mayonnaise and coffee jars. These can be painted with glass paints using outline stickers as a template, to create colourful lanterns that you can illuminate using either candles (wax or battery) or light strings. These can be used for those evenings sat in the garden or as mood lighting around the house. They can also be turned into decorative pots to hold flowers, pens or sweet gifts.
The finished item can be embellished with glitter, metallic ink stamps, beads, acrylic gems, string and ribbons to give them a bespoke look turning them into gifts for family and friends or handcrafted decorations for your own use.
Enjoy making something to amaze yourself, family and friends with. You do not need to be artistic or able to draw, just use your imagination and enjoy a relaxed creative session with lovely finished items to show off
What will I learn?
During this course, you will learn to create decorative item(s), using a variety of media and methods, from planning to the finished outcome.
Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at anyone who enjoys making things or who would like to try their hand at crafts. You do not have to be artistic or creative as each item is individual to you, the course is planned to be fun and in a relaxed environment where you can share ideas and try different methods to create the finished product.
Will I have to provide anything?
A protective apron or coverall if you prefer. Various glass jars of your own preference, the glass jars are also supplied by the tutor but you can bring favourite glassware to paint.

If you would like to join a fun course and have a handmade item to show for all your hard work, then you are ready to start.
