About this event

Welcome to the Upper Walthamstow Jumble Trail. We had more than 100 stalls last year and it was a huge success for all involved. Let's do it even bigger and better this year!

A Jumble Trail is like a car boot sale from your front garden. People set up stalls in their front gardens and sell bric-a-brac, toys, clothes, cakes or whatever. Don’t have a place for a stall? Team up with a neighbour!

Last year's trail attracted hordes of visitors, some from afar, to rummage through unwanted items, handmade, vintage and crafted treasures.

Fancy a spring clear-out? Got crafty wares to sell?

Do please tell your neighbours about it, tell your street WhatsApp, share the info with friends. The more stalls in your area, the more people are likely to pass your stall.

We’re open to all residents living in Upper Walthamstow and surrounding streets. Upper Walthamstow is roughly the area of E17 bounded by the North Circular to the north, Lea Bridge Road to the south, the railway line and Wood Street to the west and Epping Forest to the east.

Upper Walthamstow Jumble Trail Map 2025

We have marked the Upper Walthamstow ward boundary on this Google Map. You are very welcome to join if you’re beyond the boundary… but depending on where you are, you might have to publicise your location and treasure more online to get some attention.

The whole thing is coordinated online and provides visitors with a colour-coded Google Map to explore the treasure on sale in Upper Walthamstow. The online map will gradually fill up! Please be sure to enter your full address and correct postcode on the booking form as this will be used to locate you on our Jumble Trail map.

By the way, stalls have to added to the map manually. We're doing this once every few days, so if you book a stall don't panic when it doesn't immediately appear on the map! Please give it a few days, then email us if it doesn't appear! We plan to colour code the pins on the day!!!

How to sign up for a Jumble Trail stall

Please book a ticket here on Eventbrite to register your stall. There is a £5 fee. This year's money is going to Bisterne Avenue Park & Surrounds residents’ association (BAPS) which works on community projects in the park and on surrounding streets. For more info see the links below.

Your stall must be at the address you register (normally in your own front garden, but if you're using someone else's property with their permission then please use their address as your stall address). No tables or any other furniture is provided by the organisers.

How to go Jumble Trail shopping

Do reply to say you're coming to our Facebook event. So we know you're coming and you get a reminder.

Then just turn up on the day and follow the map. No fee. Enjoy!

If you have a stall of your own, teaming up with others means you can have your cake and eat it... sell unwanted items but also find some time to peel off and go shopping too. And it's a great way to meet your neighbours.

For more info on what’s happening locally join the Upper Walthamstow Facebook group. If you’d love a stall but don’t have a front garden, why not start a conversation in the Group and see if you can find a neighbour to team up with?

Follow BAPS on Instagram and/or join us on Facebook. You can email us at bapswalthamstow@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Do you use Bisterne Avenue Park, Walthamstow? Do you live on Fyfield Road, Bisterne Avenue, Avon Road, Hillside Gardens, Winsbeach, etc?

We’re a residents’ association for an area loosely centred around Bisterne Avenue Park. But you don’t have to pass a test to join, so if you live a bit further away, or you use the park, you are warmly welcomed too. Please join BAPS on Facebook to stay updated!

We do positive stuff like putting on social events for all ages. We do important stuff like collecting donations for the food bank. And we do constructive stuff like representing residents to talk to the Council about important local issues.

And if you live in the Upper Walthamstow area, please join the new Upper Walthamstow Facebook group building local community. Live near the park? Join both!!!
