Urban Wave: East Coast Fire Festival
This event started as a small beach mission in Skegness nearly a decade ago. Three families from a local church slept in tents and went out on the beach giving away drinks and ice-creams.
Today it is a thriving festival made up famillies from several churches across the UK, from Cardiff to Mablethorpe, and from Luton to Newcastle. We make lots of space to spend time on the beach or at the arcades, whilst also making space for people to encounter God in several ways.
Each morning we have a devotional time with a thought for the day and maybe a song.
During the day there are several activities that are available for ages, and free, including our famous PRIZE BINGO, SANDCASTLE COMPETITION, and BEACH BAPTISMS followed by an epic beach party.
In the evenings we have a church gathering with live worship, fun games, and relevant talks with an emphasis on personal ministry and experiential connection with God, before everyone heads their separate ways to enjoy the East Coast vibes in beautiful and fun Mablethorpe.
This week is designed to be affordable for low income families. Mablethorpe had really good prices on accommodation that you can book though booking.com or Hoseasons. You can also book good priced caravans through Blue Anchor if you would like to stay near the rest of the crew in Towervans caravan park.
There is a free spash paddling pool for children that is fenced off, and has showers. This is a holiday favourite for families with very children, and perfect for those living with neurodiversity.
There are several great places to eat with very good prices around Mablethorpe too.
