About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This free webinar from the Gardens Trust introduces the need for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, particularly in the East of England.

Dr Will Fletcher, Development Advice Team Leader: East Region at Historic England and Jo Barnes, Strategic Lead for Land and Covenants at the National Trust and Gardens Trust Trustee, will take us on a tour of the different types of NSIP projects planned in England and the need for large scale infrastructure projects to address climate change and resource security.

This session is part of a project called Green Futures being delivered by the Gardens Trust and funded by Historic England, aimed at recruiting and training volunteers from across the East of England to research and record historic parks and gardens potentially affected by Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. Visit the project website for more information: https://thegardenstrust.org/green-futures

This webinar is free for all to attend and we welcome professionals, researchers, historians and anyone with an interest in historic parks, gardens and other designed landscapes and the planning process.
